TO ESTABLISH OUR OWN INDEPENDENT COMMUNICATIONS COMMAND CENTER

Did you know that there are more than 7,000 equines in Yavapai County? About one third of them do not have transportation to escape a wildfire or flood. These animals and their owners will need help evacuating. After the Doce, Goodwin, and Viewpoint Fires in recent years, EEE was created to help large animals and their owners during such events. When needed, EEE will also evacuate pets and the owners along with the big animals.

HOW A COMMUNICATIONS COMMAND CENTER WILL IMPROVE OUR SAFETY & SUCCESS

Recent wildfire seasons have taught us a number of useful lessons. Importantly, reliable, continuous communications between our evacuators, our Staging Areas, and animal owners (as well as monitoring first responder frequencies) is essential for SAFETY.

Unfortunately, we cannot count on cell communications in this very large and remote County, particularly during major incidents when cell service may not be available at all.

Our new mobile Communications Command Center trailer will house sophisticated gear that is pre-staged and ready for activation. We already have most of the equipment but must transport it piece-meal to Staging Areas. The trailer will also serve to transport other equipment needed to manage Staging Areas. We will be able to quickly arrive at one of our 28 Staging Areas around the County and promptly activate. This mobility will greatly enhance our ablity to perform missions almost anywhere in the County.

OUR GOAL

EEE seeks to raise $10,000 to purchase a trailer and to make the needed modifications so that it functions as a stand alone Communications Command Center. We and our sponsors, including the Yavapai Humane Society, Olsen’s Grain and Prescott Animal Hospital, hope that you will show your support to help us reach this goal.
